There is an abundance of sporting activities in the area – our proximity to the sea does encourage a blast on the water! There are loads of coastal walks towards Hastings and cycling paths to Rye and Dungeness.
Yoga! The Gallivant have just opened a yoga studio and if the weather is good enough it happens on the beach! Its fabulous… check out their website for times of classes, they also have a spa – The Beach Hut, book in for some treats! Or try The Elysian Centre in Rye, a multi disciplinary practice of holistic healing with a wide range of classes.
Rye Watersports – based within a safe secluded coastal lake, this family run watersports company offer a host of activities – kite surfing, sailing courses, kayaking, windsurfing, and paddle boarding. Great courses for adults and children. The Hoolie Cafe keeps the wolf from the door after an energetic blast on the water!
To take it out onto the sea with The Kite Surf Centre, based in Camber will get you started – give them a call to check out the tides and the winds. Camber Kitesurfing also offer a great time and encouragement for the beginner.
For the adrenaline junkie, Flyboarding, Water skiinig, Wakeboarding, jet skiing can be found 10 minutes away at Action Watersports a great centre for all things wet just down the road in Lydd. New in is the inflatable obstacle course for parties and whole heap of fun!
Grove Farm Riding School – ten minutes from Camber, hacks and lessons available in the village of Iden.
Swimming – apart from braving the sea, Rye has a great public 25m pool, Rye Leisure Centre plus many other keep fit and workout classes.
Tennis – the very best of grass courts at Rye Lawn Tennis Club in summer and three astro courts, but beware you have to wear whites on the grass courts.
Cycling – Rye Bay E-bikes take the strain with an E-Bike from Rye Harbour or for a regular ride, try Rye Hire bikes – for mountain bikes or perhaps you fancy a tandem ride, they can also arrange delivery to the properties to meet your arrival.
Go-karting – Kents premier karting track just down the road in Lydd.
Walking along the coast or on the Marsh – Walks in Sussex provide maps and suggested routes.
