Its personal and that’s the way it stays – we, at Camber Holiday Cottages, take your privacy very seriously and even more so as a result of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on the 25 May 2018.

WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT ABOUT YOU?
We collect the personal data that you input by booking one of our holiday cottages or when you sign up to our newsletter from our home page on our website (email only), which includes the following:
We do not keep any financial details, payments from guests are made via BACs payments or cheque, we do not accept credit cards. Bank details are supplied to return your breakage deposit as provided by you and then deleted and not held.
HOW DO WE USE THIS INFORMATION

The GDPR requires us to indicate for how long we will retain data. Where you have booked a holiday with us, we will retain your data for a period of 7 years for legal purposes, to ensure that we are able to assist you should you have any questions, feedback or issues in connection with a holiday you have purchased from us or if any legal issues arise – For example a VAT issue.
Where we have used your personal information to contact you for marketing communications:
If you tell us that you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from us, we promise to stop sending them to you.
Where we have processed your data for any other reason (such as where you have contacted us with a question in connection with a potential holiday booking) we will retain your data for 3 years
HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SECURE?
We keep your personal data on our mailchimp database list which is protected. We also hold paper copies of all booking forms on file. This information will NEVER be sold too any third party. It is solely used to manage bookings and send newsletter.
DATA REMOVAL REQUEST
Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request that we remove your personal information from our systems. We will need to retain it until your booking has been taken and we no longer need to contact you. At any point you can remove yourself from our list. We take your privacy very seriously. The only reasons we store personal details are:
