Lazy Days in Rye
For the lazy hazy days – a walk on the beach, an idle stroll through Rye, chillax at home, nothing could be more simple.

If its raining and you need to entertain the kids (or yourselves) an independent state of the art digital cinema has arrived in Rye, two screens showing current and arthouse films Kino Cinema also offering fabulous food in their courtyard. Two for the price of one on any film on a Tuesday!

For fashionistas, try Niche with Peter Farrow Jewellery, Cordelia James or the plethora of ‘vintage’ second hand shops. Antique shops abound, but a must see is McCully and Crane, for stylish quirky objects. Our favourite Glass Etc, owned by Antiques Roadshow, Andy McConnell glass specialist – offering tea for any customer! For a nostalgic trip go to Country Ways, an emporioum of vintage cookware down by the Fishing huts. Recently opened in Rye is Merchant and Mills – a stunning look into proper sewing – stocked in Liberty’s and other famous haunts, this is the place to buy patterns, haberdashery items and fabric – all ultra stylish for the budding seamstress!
All polished off with a visit to one of our many cafes or tearooms, try one of our favourite eateries for brunch and lunch, The White House, The Fig, Haydens, Fletchers, Cafe de Fleurs for amazing blooms and cake at the station.
